Banned from Answering Muslims

Looks like I'm banned again. It's clear to me the causes, though David Wood isn't really saying. Errors are expressed at a break necking pace over there. Exposure of that along with exposure of blatant hypocrisy is unacceptable. Here I'm going to review some of the incidents that lead to me being banned.

In this thread we're told by frequent poster Fernando that the Tamil Tigers, the most prolific suicide terrorist group prior to 9/11, in fact were 90% Muslim. This is a blatantly false claim, which I corrected with evidence. Fernando also asserted that Christians in Lebanon do not support Hezbollah, which I again corrected with evidence.

In this thread we're told by a contributor called The Fat Man that Israel was given less than 50% of designated Palestine as a result of the 1947 UN Partition. This is easy to check and correct, so I did again with evidence. Later The Fat Man (fond of using a phrase "Go sell crazy some place else, we're all booked up here) would inform us that Palestinians prompted the Gaza invasion a year ago with daily rocket attacks. I showed him his errors again. We were told by Ed the common canard that Arafat walked away from a sweetheart deal at Camp David. Once again I offered correction. I corrected various other errors in that thread.

In this thread my claim that OBL is motivated by occupation and death committed against Muslims is denied. I provide a variety of direct quotes from OBL to justify my assertion.

In this thread we're told by Fernando that the claim that the blockade is harmful to the economy in Gaza is a myth. His claim is not just false but absurd, as I pointed out.

And then the final straw. In this thread I pointed out the blatant hypocrisy of the outrage expressed at the death of 13 servicemen contrasted with the silence regarding the thousands of monthly deaths that occur unjustifiably at the hands of the U.S. and it's agents. It's the same point I made here. "Jon, go sell crazy someplace else we are all booked up here." says The Fat Man.''

Spewing falsehood after falsehood? That's not a problem. Pointing out easily corrected falsehoods and blatant hypocrisy? Unacceptable. That kind of craziness belongs somewhere other than the Answering Muslims blog.

  1. Looks like Jon got another knotch on his belt. He seems titilated and flattered that he has suffered for the cause of "I know not what." For a guy who thinks he is promoting peace, he sure does pride himself on making enemies.

Everyone interested should read all the threads Jon linked in his banning announcement, including what the assigned topic was, which Jon regularly departed from. But you might find the following threads that he didn't link to a whole lot more fun:

Does Qur'an 2:256 Show That Islam Is a Religion of Peace?

Those Who Live in Glass Houses Should Not Throw Stones

My personal favorite is the second link, but the first one sets the stage for it.

  2. So what is the reason for the banning then, Semper? Anything beyond vague assertions? Can you actually point to what you think qualifies as a bannable offense? I mean like with a quote. Don't just say that I conflate Christianity and the US or that I assume some sort of distinction between radical and non-radical Islam. And don't just quote an isolated phrase. Quote me fully, show that you understand what I'm saying, and explain how it qualifies as something that justifies banning.

Personally I believe you are so entrenched in a particular worldview that when you hear arguments and statements that contradict it you basically can't here them. You seem to fail to grasp the meaning of basic sentences.

  3. HAS Not the nt caused enough pain and suffering for the jews?

"1 Thessalonians 2:15-16 says a lot of nasty things about "the Jews".

    · killed the lord Christ.

    · killed their own prophets.

    · persecuted the church.

    · do not please God.

    · are against all mankind.

    · try to stop the gospel being preached.

    · are always filling up the totality of all their sins.

    · have suffered the wrath of God to the uttermost finality.

The phrase και πασιν ανθρωποις εναντιον [and are hostile against/contrary to all mankind] picks up a theme from Greco-Roman anti-Semitism, as was noticed already by Baur...

    this PHRASE IS,

    "is widespread in the Greco-Roman world of the period. ("1 Thessalonians 2:13-16: A Deutero-Pauline Interpolation" Harvard Theological Review (1971): Vol.64 No. 1 p. 83)"

"For the Jews have long been in revolt not only against the Romans, but against humanity; and a race that has made its own a life apart and irreconcilable, that cannot share with the rest of mankind in the pleasures of the table nor join in their libations or prayers or sacrifices, are separated from ourselves . . . . (Philostratus, 5.33)"

A JEw who resides in the america wrote about his DAYS in the 50's and sixties,

"Rhutchins' post is totally in line with a fundie reading of GJohn that I am very familiar with, having grown up in the Deep South of the United States in the '50s and '60s and remembering vividly the complacent references in daily conversation to "those Jews" having killed "our Lord" and those "nice Romans" who jus' couldn't stop it. These attitudes were of a piece with the quotas for Jews in many an organization and club down there and with many another deeply prejudiced institution and social habit founded on the same bigotry.

It is absurd and naive to pretend that this age-old habit of pinning our entire reading of the Jesus story on GJohn isn't both the cause and the continued result of and from much Jewish persecution through the centuries since the Jesus story was first told. Rhutchins' post reflects a long-term, centuries-old, and deeply prejudiced reading of the Jesus story centered on GJohn, and I am frankly astonished and nauseated at the -- professed -- obliviousness of other posters here to Rhutchins' clear aping of that "time-honored tradition".

jezuz's big mouth and his abuse of the pharises in PUBLIC was enough for jews to pick up stones and AIM THEM at jesus, but the man-god ran like bitch.

jezuz's "love" was USED by the church to spread anger and violence,

""Chapter 23 describes the famous diatribe of Jesus against the Jewish
leaders. Such biblical words has, for centuries, given believers
justification for Jewish hatred. This verse, spoken by the alleged
Jesus himself, compares the unbelieving Jews with the serpent devil.
"Behold, I will make them of the synagogue of Satan, which say they
are Jews, and are not, but do lie; behold, I will make them to come
and worship before thy feet, and to know that I have loved thee."
These verses by Jesus has fueled the engine of anti-Semitism
throughout Europe and the rest of the world for centuries.
Unfortunately many believers today still justify their hatred of Jews
    based on Scripture. source"

  4. "“Whoever acknowledges me before men, I will also acknowledge him >
before my Father in heaven. But whoever disowns me before men, I >
will disown him before my Father in heaven. Do not suppose that I >
have come to bring peace to the earth. I did not come to bring >
peace, but a sword. For I have come to turn a man against his >
father, a daughter against her mother, a daughter-in-law against > her mother-in-law–a man’s enemies will be the members of his own >
household. Anyone who loves his father or mother more than me is > not worthy of me; anyone who loves his son or daughter more than me > is
    not worthy of me.>>

The context is unmistakable: Jesus (or, rather, the fictional >
character the author wants us to believe is Jesus) intends his >
teachings to create strife and division, to tear up families, and > destroy the foundation of love upon which society sustains itself, > and in its place secure the universal rejection of human society in > favor of single-minded pledge of love and allegiance to Jesus > christ (which translates in practical terms to love and allegiance > for the church whose propaganda this Gospel represents).

All for > the single purpose of selfishly securing salvation for the > individual after death.> The words are plain:> “I did not come to
bring peace.” That means what it says: he is > not preaching peace.
Hence in the parallel passage in Luke (12:49-53)> he says: “I have
come to bring fire on the earth, and how I wish it > were already
kindled! …”>> Thus, the passage pertains to something he wishes to
happen, not > anything that saddens him or that he wants to stop.>>

So he continues, “Do you think I came to bring peace on earth? No, > I tell you, but division. From now on there will be five in one > family divided against each other, three against two and two > against three. They will be divided, father against son and son > against father, mother against daughter and daughter against > mother, mother-in-law against daughter-in-law and daughter-in-law > against mother-in- law.>>> ..................>

the word is diamerismon and its verbal cognate (diamerizo), which means divide, distribute, create disunity, and in context, where the word is explicitly contrasted with peace (eirene), and the word epi + accusative ("against") follows, the meaning is obviously intrafamily war.

if we assume that jesus's message to the jews was what PAULInes force into jesus's mouth, then do you think that jews welcomed this foriegn message which was unknown to the torah? if jesus was rejected his next step would be to cause DIVISION ACCORDING to his own words.

  6. "The Jewish bible is clear that we are not to follow "other gods," it is even more explicit when it states any "gods" whom our fathers did not know at Mount Sinai. Replace the name "Ba-al" with "Jsus" and you'll see that it is one and the same. If you follow any G-d but the G-d of Avraham, Isaac and Jacob you are not following the G-d of the Jewish bible.

Do you suppose anyone at Mount Sinai ever heard of Jsus?

To pray to Jsus or even through Jsus is to put an intermediary between you and G-d, and this is forbidden. There is only one G-d (not three in one, not a human/god, not a ghost a man and G-d -- just G-d Himself). This is why Chrstianity and Judaism are polar opposites. The term "Judeo-Chrstian is a made up term and does a disservice to both religions.

Judaism does not believe in original sin. You are not born a sinner.

You may atone for your own sins -- you and only you.

There is no devil, no demi-god, no fallen angels.

There is no hell used to scare you into "believing."

It isn't all about believing without question -- it is about knowing G-d, questioning everything and learning to be a better person through your actions and turning to G-d.

There are many excellent websites that can help teach you about Judaism and even about the Jewish bible and what it really says (not bad translations which speak of virgin births and unicorns). If you have questions, feel free to ask them. "

above i have quoted from messiah truth forum. a jewish lady is presenting her religion to an inquiring messianic jew. i note that ISLAM AND JUDAISM HAVE MANY things in common in terms of doctrine.

does semper paratus consider judaism's central beliefs evil like he does with islam?

  8. MUHAMMAD AND THE ANIMALS

Today the religion of Islam is constantly in the news because of its violence. Many people know that Islam is violent but know little else about the religion. A few people know a little about Muhammad. He was a successful leader, he suffered harsh persecution, endured famine and poverty, remained steadfast in the face of opposition, loved his followers dearly, and created the 2nd largest religion in the world.. But there is more to Islam and Muhammad that needs to be understood. Muhammad had a superstitious, somewhat bizarre, set of religious beliefs.

This article presents a short account of Muhammad’s superstitions regarding various animals. Some of these superstitions have been written about in detail elsewhere. Here, I’ll provide the basics and leave you to do the thinking and assessment. The pity is that Muhammad’s beliefs, including his superstitions, form the basis of faith for some one billion followers today. Today, these unfortunate people are bound in a system of belief that shackles their minds with superstition and inhibits them from knowing God and His plan for them.

MUHAMMAD AND THE JEWS: PIGS & APES & RATS & LIZARDS

The Quran contains myths about Jews and Christians. Three of the Quranic verses that reflect these myths are 2:63 – 65, 5:60, and 7:166. All quotes are from "The Noble Quran" [1].
    2:63 – 65
And (O Children of Israel, remember) when We took your covenant and We raised above you the Mount (saying): "Hold fast to that which We have given you, and remember that which is therein so that you may become Al-Muttaqun. Then after that you turned away. Had it not been for the Grace and Mercy of Allah upon you, indeed you would have been among the losers. And indeed you knew those amongst you who transgressed in the matter of the Sabbath. We said to them: "Be you monkeys, despised and rejected."
    5:60
Say (O Muhammad to the people of the Scripture): "Shall I inform you of something worse than that, regarding the recompense from Allah: those (Jews) who incurred the Curse of Allah and His Wrath, those of whom (some) He transformed into monkeys and swines, those who worshipped Taghut (false deities); such are worse in rank (on the Day of Resurrection in the Hellfire), and far more astray from the Right Path."
    7:166
So when they exceeded the limits of what they were prohibited, We said to them: "Be you monkeys, despised and rejected." (It is a severe warning to the mankind that they should not disobey what Allah commands them to do, and be far away from what He prohibits them).

Additionally, we read that the historical Islamic scholars and commentators agreed with the literal interpretation of this verse:
    A. Jews Transformed Into Apes
God transformed these Jews into apes because they disobeyed His commandment and went to catch fish on a Saturday. These Jews inhabited a coastal city (refer to Chapter 2:65). The Qur’an says:
"And you know of those of you who broke the Sabbath, how we said unto them, ‘Be apes, despised and hated!"’
The interpretation of the expositors of the Qur’an is in full agreement with the content of these verses (refer to the Baydawi, page 14; Jalalan, pages 10, 11; Zamakhshari, part 1, page 286). We also read the same incident in chapter 7:163-166 and in chapter 5:60 in which these Jews were transformed into apes and swine. [2]

The Sahih (Authentic) Hadith have Allah turning Jews into other creatures.
